Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) is planning to conduct a performance review of the country’s city gas distribution (CGD) networks, natural gas and petroleum product pipelines.
PNGRB is likely to appoint an agency to carry out the study based on demand, supply and feasibility of developing natural gas infrastructure across the country in order to increase the share of natural gas in the country’s energy basket from present 6 per cent to 15 per cent.
Besides, the study will also include policy, regulatory norms and macroeconomic trends influencing the energy sector.
