Petronet LNG, Gruner forms JV for setting up 10 CBG plants across India

Petronet LNG Limited (PLL) and Gruner Renewable Energy have formed a 50:50 Joint Venture (JV) for setting up 10 compressed biogas (CBG) plants across India. A binding term sheet for the same was signed by both companies.

The CBG plants are expected to have a combined capacity of 180 tonnes per day (tpd) and each plant is expected to have a capacity of 18 tpd. The project entails an investment of Rs 12 billion. Plant locations and commissioning schedules are yet to be finalised.
