In a notable development, the first piped natural gas (PNG) facility has been launched in Qutab Garh village of rural Delhi. Around 350 out of 1,000 households have been supplied PNG.
However, four more villages of Jaunti, Nizampur, Rawta and Daurala are likely to be equipped with PNG connectivity soon.
Besides, Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) has completed survey works for laying pipeline for PNG supply in 10 other villages of Delhi while preliminary works are in progress in another 14 villages. IGL is likely to equip all 29 villages with PNG connectivity by March 2024.
