AG&P Pratham is planning to provide around 49,000 domestic piped natural gas (D-PNG) connections in Thiruvananthapuram between April and December 2024.

The pipeline work has commenced in 13 wards along with the process of providing PNG connections. Additionally, the work in nine wards will start in June 2024.

Besides, it is likely to provide 11,000 households in 35 wards with PNG connectivity by March 2024.

AG&P Pratham holds 25-year exclusive rights from the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) to develop city gas distribution (CGD) infrastructure and supply gas in more than 278,000 square km area across its authorised geographical areas (GAs). Currently, it has laid 307 km pipeline for the project. It entails an investment of Rs 7 billion.
