Oil India Limited (OIL) and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) have formed a joint venture (JV) company for implementing city gas distribution (CGD) project in Arunachal Pradesh on August 26, 2025.
As per the agreement, they would establish compressed natural gas (CNG) stations and provision of piped natural gas (PNG) to domestic, commercial and industrial consumers in the state.
The project was awarded during the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board’s (PNGRB) 12th CGD bidding round.
