Chandigarh Municipal Corporation (CMC) is to appoint Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) as the implementing agency for setting up a 200 tonne per day (tpd) compressed biogas (CBG) plant in the region. Memorandum of understanding (MoU) with a 15 year concessioning period is likely to be signed soon.
Besides, CMC has reserved approximately 10 acres of land at the Daddumajra site for the project.
