AG&P Pratham has covered 52 km and has connected 5,460 houses at Vettucaud, Shanghumugham, Sreevaraham and Chaka and is likely to cover 137 km more by connecting 28,000 households. As per the proposed plan, 3,000 km of medium-density polyethylene pipes will be laid across the city to provide gas connection to over 0.2 million households by March 2029.
