Compressed natural gas (CNG) driven boats are driven across the banks of Varanasi. As against the target of 500 boats by the Union Government, 583 have already switched to CNG and works are in progress to convert 2,000 boats more.
Besides, GAIL India Limited will install additional floating filling stations at other ghats in Varanasi as per the demand.
