Adani Gas and its joint venture (JV), Indian Oil-Adani Gas Private Limited (IOAGPL), have been allocated 38 geographical areas (GAs) by the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB), with each company receiving an equal number of GAs. Together, the two companies have operationalised 125 CNG stations across the country. The CGD landscape is expected to change significantly with the development of CNG stations at strategic locations. Going forward, the number of operational CNG stations across the country will increase from 1,850 in 2019 to 10,000 plus in 2025. Besides, 50 million domestic PNG connections will be added by 2025.
