Torrent Power Limited has signed sales and purchase agreement (SPA) with BP Singapore Pte. Limited for purchase of about 0.41 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) liquefied natural gas (LNG) for a period of 10 years, starting from 2027.
Major part of the imported gas would be utilised to run TPL’s power plants. Besides, it would also meet the rising fuel demand of Torrent Gas Limited, the company’s city gas distribution (CGD) arm.
