Torrent Power Limited and JERA Corporation have signed a long term gas sales and purchase agreement (GSPA) for supply of liquified natural gas (LNG) on December 8, 2025.
As per the agreement, JERA would provide the supply up to 0.27 million metric tonnes per annum (mmtpa) LNG to Torrent Power for a period of ten years starting from 2027 and be used to operate Torrent Power’s 2,730 Megawatt (MW) combined Cycle Gas-based Power Plants (GBPPs) across the nation along with providing support to Torrent Gas Limited’s city gas distribution (CGD) network.
The Gujarat-based Torrent Group has a strong presence in pharmaceuticals, power and city gas distribution (CGD) sectors.
