Think Gas is expanding its footprints in the city gas distribution sector with the launch of new compressed natural gas (CNG) stations in Uttar Pradesh (UP) and Madhya Pradesh (MP). It launched its fourth station in Bhopal on August 10, 2020. The station, New Star Travels CNG station, is located on Berasia Road, Lambakheda in Bhopal district.
Further, Think Gas launched another CNG station, Onkar Filling Station, located on the Binoli road, Meerut Bypass on August 20, 2020. This is the third operational CNG station in Bagpat district of UP.
At present, the company’s operations spread across an area of 34,000 square km in states of Punjab, MP, Bihar and UP. In 2018, the company won four geographical areas (GAs) – Bhopal and Rajgarh in Madhya Pradesh; Begusarai in Bihar; Ludhiana, Barnala and Moga; and Jalandhar, Kapurthala and SBS Nagar districts, in Punjab under the ninth bidding round. Further, in June 2019, it acquired a stake in an existing CGD company, Bagpat Green Energy Limited, which operates in Bagpat district in Uttar Pradesh.
