The State government has laid the foundation stone for development of city gas distribution (CGD) pipeline network in Sri City industrial area, Andhra Pradesh.
Earlier in March 2024, AG&P Pratham had signed memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Sri City for development of natural gas network for commercial and industrial units.
AG&P is planning to invest around Rs 35 billion over a period of five years for natural gas infrastructure in Andhra Pradesh.
Currently, AG&P Pratam has 56 compressed natural gas (CNG) stations including three liquefied compressed natural gas (LCNG) stations across the districts of Tirupatti, Chittoor, SPSR Nellore, YSR Kadapa, Annamayya, Sri Sathya Sai and Anantapur in the state of Andhra Pradesh. Additionally, it has provided last mile connectivity to over 46,000 domestic households and laid more than 3,30 inch-km pipeline.
It holds 25-year exclusive rights from the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) to develop CGD infrastructure and supply gas in more than 278,000 square km area across its 37 authorised geographical areas (GAs) in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Rajasthan.
