Oil India Limited (OIL) and Indradhanush Gas Grid Limited (IGGL) have signed hook-up agreement for connecting OIL’s natural gas fields of upper Assam with the Duliajan feeder line of the North-East Natural Gas Pipeline.
Besides, the agreement has also been signed for evacuation of natural gas from OIL’s discovered small field (DSF) block AA/ONDSF/Tulamara/2018 in Tripura through IGGL’s 12” normal bore (NB), 86 km Agartala- Tulamara natural gas pipeline.
The North-East natural gas pipeline grid involves development, operation and maintenance (O&M) of a natural gas pipeline connecting eight states viz. Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura. It is being implemented by IGGL, a joint venture (JV) company of Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC), GAIL (India) Limited, Oil India Limited (OIL) and Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL). It entails an investment of Rs 92.65 billion.
