The State Cabinet of Kerala has approved setting up of compressed biogas (CBG) plant by Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) at Brahmapuram in Kochi.
Besides, it has asked BPCL to submit the detailed project report (DPR) by October 1, 2023.
Earlier, BPCL had invited tender for appointment of consultant for preparation of DPR.
The plant will be set up on the land provided by the Kochi Municipal Corporation. Initially, the plant will have the capacity to process 150 tonnes of waste.
