Sanmit Infra Limited is planning to set up bio- compressed natural gas (CNG) plant. Recently, its board approved the proposal and work is likely to begin soon.

The plant would be established under the sustainable alternative towards affordable transportation (SATAT) initiative of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MoPNG) to equip the country with clean and green energy. In October 2018, MoPNG launched the SATAT initiative in order to establish an ecosystem for production of compressed biogas (CBG) from waste, biomass and promoting its use along with natural gas.

Sanmit Infra Limited, established in 1965, is engaged in biomedical waste disposal, petroleum products supply and real estate projects.
