Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) and the Government of Andhra Pradesh have signed memorandum of understanding (MoU) for the development of 500 compressed biogas (CBG) plants in the state.
The plants would be established over a period of three years entailing an investment of Rs 650 billion.
RIL plans to utilise the state’s available wastelands for the development of these plants, with each plant requiring an investment close to Rs 1.3 billion.
