The Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) launched the National Piped Natural Gas (PNG) Drive 3.0 on October 1, 2026.

The drive, extending for a duration of six months from October 1, 2026, to March 31, 2027, aims to fast-track the PNG connections across domestic and commercial sectors by activating dormant connections, maximising the existing CGD networks, expanding PNG in semi-urban and rural areas, and connecting new consumers.

It targets 5 million new domestic PNG (DPNG) connections, 4 million conversions to active users, and another 5 million DPNG registrations. This comes following the success and positive implications of the PNG Drive 1.0 and 2.0.
