Under the Pradhan Mantri Urja Ganga Project, piped natural gas (PNG) is being supplied in more than 3,500 houses in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. Gas Authority of India Limited has laid a 62-km long steel line and a 364-km long gas pipeline for PNG supply. This pipeline connects 25,000 houses located at BHU, BLW, Bhelupur and PWD colonies.
