Piped Natural Gas (PNG) supply has been commenced in Madhubani and Bettiah districts.
The pipeline was laid by Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) under its Har Ghar Pahuchenge vision.
In Madhubani, land allotment for the pipeline was achieved in April 2026, and it is likely to provide PNG supply to 3,000 households via plug and play model.
In Bettiah, PNG supply is connected to 35 households and is expected to supply to about 1,000 households soon. It implemented smart Daughter Regulating Station (DRS) and Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) cascade based supply model.
