Oil India Limited (OIL) and North Eastern Electric Power Corporation Limited (NEEPCO) have signed a long term Gas Sale and Purchase Agreement (GSPA) for supply of natural gas on October 13, 2025.
As per the agreement, OIL would provide continued supply of 1.4 million metric standard cubic meters per day (mmscmd) natural gas to NEEPCO’s Assam Gas Based Power Station (AGBPS) at Bokuloni, Dibrugarh for a period of 15 years., succeeding its earlier ten year agreement.
AGBPS is the largest gas-based power plant in Assam and plays a crucial role in meeting the demand of the region.
