Three Aapli bus operators in Nagpur have halted services of 70 buses for over a month now. This is because of the shortage of supply of compressed natural gas (CNG). The supplier of eco-friendly CNG had stopped CNG supply to Aapli buses since March, 2022 and also increased CNG prices to Rs 117 per kg. the supplier first discontinued CNG supply to Travel Time City Bus, one of the three bus operators (March 31) followed by Hansa City Bus (April 7) and RK City Bus (April 8). This is creating huge inconvenience to the commuters in the city and also causing financial losses to Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC).
