More than 100 biogas plants are likely to come up in Uttar Pradesh soon.
Currently, land has been identified for 37 of these plants.
It aligns with the National Biofuel Policy 2018 wherein the government aims to reduce import dependency by 10 per cent while focussing on second-generation (2G) bio-refineries and CBG plants.
