More than 10 million piped natural gas (PNG) connections have been provided across the country till January 2023. Moreover, more than 22,000 km of PNG pipeline is operational and around 13,000 km pipeline is under construction till the end of 2022, as per Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MoPNG).

Besides, the total length of CGD network laid increased from 138000 inch km in 2018 to 4,27,000 inch km in 2022. and CGD entities are likely to provide 123.3 million PNG connections across the country by 2030.

The PNG connections are provided as per Minimum Work Programme (MWP) authorised by Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB).
