Maharashtra Natural Gas Limited (MNGL) has reduced the price of compressed natural gas (CNG) and piped natural gas (PNG) with effect from April 7, 2023.
CNG prices have been reduced by Rs 6 per kg in Ramanagara district of Karnataka and Pune. After the price cut, CNG price now stands at Rs 84 per kg in Ramanagara and Rs 86 per kg in Pune.
Domestic PNG prices have been reduced by Rs 5.85 per standard cubic meter (scm) in Ramanagara and by Rs 5.7 per scm in Pune. Revised PNG price is Rs 52.65 per scm in Ramanagara and Rs 51.30 in Pune.
The price revision is on account of the Central government’s new gas pricing mechanism resulting in reduction of input natural gas prices.
MNGL is a joint venture of two Maharatna Public Sector Undertakings, GAIL (India) Limited and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited with equity participation from the government of Maharashtra and Indraprastha Gas Limited.
