Mahanagar Gas Limited (MGL) and Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for compressed biogas (CBG) plant in Mumbai. BMC is likely to allot land for setting up the plant.
The plant would have the capacity to process 1,000 tonnes of waste per day. It will utilize deep segregated food and vegetable waste as feedstock.
