In a recent development, Mahanagar Gas Limited (MGL) has appointed Mr Sanjeev Kumar Gupta as director on the board and elected as chairman of MGL, with effect from October 31, 2023.
Currently, MGL provides piped natural gas (PNG) connectivity to around 2.05 million households and above 4,000 small commercial and industrial establishments. It also supplies compressed natural gas (CNG) to more than 0.9 million vehicles in Mumbai, Thane, Mira-Bhayander, Navi Mumbai and beyond. It has a natural gas distribution network in Mumbai and its adjoining areas along with Raigad district of Maharashtra and is promoted by GAIL (India) Limited.
