Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) has submitted the detailed project report (DPR) for Brahmapuram compressed biogas (CBG) plant to the Government of Kerala.
Besides, it is likely to initiate the tendering process once DPR is approved.
Recently, the State Cabinet of Kerala has approved setting up of the CBG plant.
The plant will be set up on the land provided by the Kochi Municipal Corporation. Initially, the plant will have the capacity to process 150 tonnes of waste. It is likely to entail an investment of around Rs 750 million to Rs 800 million.
