Maruti Suzuki plans to set up biogas plants across its facilities

Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) is planning to set up biogas plants across its facilities including Manesar, Gurugram, Kharkhoda and Gujarat.

The company will use agricultural and in-house waste from its factories to produce biogas and aims to adopt biogas for firing its gas turbines, paint shops and others as it transitions towards green energy for production.

Besides, MSIL’s parent company, Suzuki Motor Corporation is also evaluating the prospect of setting up biogas plant in Gujarat with Amul.
