Karimnagar district in Telangana is likely to get piped natural gas (PNG) supply soon. Initially, 426 houses will be covered and later, would be extended to Ramagundam coal belt town, Godavarikhani, NTPC and other areas.

Besides, construction of gas station at RFCL has been completed and pipeline laying work at residential quarters is going on.

Gas is being supplied to the plant from the Kakinada, Krishna-Godavari basin of Andhra Pradesh to Ramagundam Fertilizers and Chemicals Limited (RFCL). It would be diverted through a pipeline and will be supplied to Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Jagtial and Rajanna-Sircilla districts.

Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) has authorised Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) to develop city gas distribution network in the district. IOCL has laid a pipeline up to Kundanapalli, Ramagundam. In the next phase, pipeline would be laid up to Peddapalli.
