Indian Oil-Adani Gas Private Limited (IOAGPL) in a bid to increase the distribution and sale of compressed natural gas (CNG) is inviting dealers for setting up CNG stations on ‘Dealer Owned Dealer Operated’ (DODO) basis. The applications are being invited for 11 districts, namely Daman district (Daman and Diu); south Goa district (Goa); Panipat and Panchkula districts (Haryana); Solan district (Himachal Pradesh); Dharwad district (Karnataka); Ernakulam district (Kerala); Mohali district (Punjab); Allahabad and Bulandshahr districts (Uttar Pradesh) and Udham Singh Nagar district (Uttarakhand).
Under the DODO model, the dealer will be responsible for obtaining land permissions related to civil construction, carrying out civil works and sales operations. Moreover, fixed facilities such as sales building, driveway, canopy structures, land and boundary wall, amenities, and manpower for operations at the outlet will have to be provided by the dealer. IOAGPL will provide equipment, operations and management services and gas to the CNG station.
