Indraprastha Gas Limited’s (IGL) Dealer Owned Dealer Operated (DODO) model based compressed natural gas (CNG) station ‘Shokeen Filling Station’ at Nazafgarh, Delhi was inaugurated on September 8, 2022 and put into operation.
IGL is an Indian natural gas distribution company that supplies natural gas as cooking and vehicular fuel. Established in 1998, the company operates primarily in Delhi-NCR including neighbouring cities like Noida, Ghaziabad, Rewari, Gurugram etc. As of August 2022, number of CNG stations being operated by IGL stands at 718 and number of CNG vehicles in Delhi, Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad, Hapur, Muzaffarnagar, Shamli, Meerut, Kanpur, Fatehpur, Hamirpur, Rewari, Gurugram, Karnal and Kaithal stands at around 1,482,170
