Indradhanush Gas Grid Limited (IGGL) is likely to commission the North-East Natural Gas Pipeline Grid Project by March 31, 2026.
Earlier in July 2025, it commissioned the 396 km Guwahati-Numaligarh section under the project.
The North-East natural gas pipeline grid involves development, operation and maintenance (O&M) of a natural gas pipeline connecting eight states viz. Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura at an investment of Rs 100 billion. It is being implemented by IGGL, a joint venture (JV) company of Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC), GAIL (India) Limited, Oil India Limited (OIL) and Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL).
