Gujarat Gas reported a 42.3 per cent year-on-year (YoY) rise in standalone net profit to Rs 3.50 billion on a 28.6 per cent YoY increase in net sales to Rs 34.29 billion in the fourth quarter of financial year 2020-21. The company’s average gas sales volume for the fourth quarter was at 12.13 million metric standard cubic meter per day, up by 22 per cent compared to the corresponding quarter previous year. Meanwhile, the gas sales volume in the industrial and compressed natural gas (CNG) segments witnessed YoY increase of 24 per cent and 16 per cent respectively during the quarter.

During the year ended on March 31, 2021, the company added 150 new CNG stations, the highest by any city gas distribution company in India. Further, the company also added more than 100,000 households, 350 industrial customers to its network and laid pipeline of over 4,600 kms.
