The Government of Goa is planning to set up two 5 tonnes per day (tpd) biomethanation plants at an investment of Rs 55 million in municipal councils of Ponda and Valpoi.
It has recently invited bids for supply, installation, testing and commissioning, including operation and maintenance for 5 years for setting up the plants.
The plants will work on automatic scum-breaking (foreign material) mechanism and will treat 5,000 kg food, fish and vegetable waste generated in the two municipal areas.
