Government of Uttar Pradesh (GoUP) laid the foundation stone for bio compressed natural gas (CNG) plant at Sutni of Gorakhpur district in the state of Uttar Pradesh on April 6, 2023.
The plant will have the capacity to process 200 tonnes of wet waste per day to produce 1,000 kg of bio-CNG and 40 tonnes organic manure.
Ever-Enviro Resource Management Private Limited is likely to set up the plant at an estimated cost of Rs 1.5 billion on public private partnership (PPP) model.
