The Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL) will be establishing seven new compressed natural gas (CNG) refuelling stations in various locations across Patna by end of March 2022. This will increase the total number of such stations from 13 to 20 by the end of next financial year. With operations commencing for five stations in February and one station nearing completion, two additional stations will be operational by March and are being worked upon on Bhootnath Road and in Khusrupur.

The new CNG refuelling stations will  cater to residents who prefer a cleaner, more eco-friendly fuel. It also worth noting that GAIL has decided to open a separate CNG station for buses due to an increase in their number.
