In a recent development, GAIL Gas Limited has commenced piped natural gas (PNG) supply in Panambur, Dakshina Kannada district of Karnataka under the National PNG drive.
The National PNG drive was launched by the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) in collaboration with city gas distribution (CGD) firms to foster widespread adoption of domestic PNG and broaden the consumer base across various segments of the population. It will focus on areas with existing or upcoming gas pipeline networks. CGD firms will conduct various promotional activities, door to door campaigns, road shows to encourage and enrol customers for PNG adoption.
