In a notable development, GAIL (India) Limited board has approved the Dahej-Uran-Dabhol-Panvel natural gas pipeline augmentation project. 

The project involves capacity augmentation of the existing Dahej-Uran-Dabhol-Panvel Natural Gas Pipeline starting from Dahej in Gujarat to Dabhol in Maharashtra from 19.9 million metric standard cubic meters per day (mmscmd) to 22.5 mmscmd entailing an investment of Rs 8.44 billion. The project will be financed by a combination of debt and equity and is likely to be commissioned by March 2028.
