Engineers India Limited (EIL) has commenced construction work of compressed biogas (CBG) plant at Kolhapur in Maharashtra.
The plant would process 125 tonnes per day (tpd) of press mud to produce about 5 tpd of CBG using bio-methanation (anaerobic digestion) technology. The gas produced would be supplied to Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited’s (HPCL) retail network.
