Piped natural gas (PNG) supply is likely to commence in Deoghar in the state of Jharkhand in November 2023. Around 1,000 domestic PNG connections will be provided in the first phase.
Besides, Madhupur is likely to get the supply by February 2024.
Moreover, work has been started to provide PNG in Jamtara, Dumka, Pakur, Sahebganj and Godda districts of Santhal Pargana in the state of Jharkhand and PNG supply is likely to commence by June 2024.
Under the Santhal Pargana project, Union Government plans to provide PNG connections to around 0.05 million houses and proposes to extend the supply in villages of Hansdiha, Basukinath, Nonihat, Jarmundi of Dumka and Pathargama, Mahagama and Podeyehat of Godda district.
