Maharashtra Natural Gas Limited (MNGL), has reduced the retail selling price of compressed natural gas (CNG) for vehicular segment by Rs 4 per kg in Pune as well as Pimpri-Chinchwad, Chakan, Talegaon and Hinjewadi with effect from August 17, 2022 (midnight). MNGL has reduced retail selling price of CNG to Rs 87 per kg from an earlier price of Rs 91 per Kg. The CNG price reduction has been made possible due to downward revision in purchase cost of domestic natural gas. The company has therefore decided to pass on the benefit of reduced gas costs to the customers.

MNGL is a joint venture of two Maharatna Public Sector Undertakings, GAIL (India) Limited and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited with equity participation from government of Maharashtra and Indraprastha Gas Limited.
