In a notable development, AG&P Pratham has successfully inaugurated the first compressed natural gas in Proddatur. This station is the thirteenth station in Anantapur-Kadapa geographical area.

AG&P Pratham is planning to invest Rs 2 billion in Kadapa district in the next five years. The investment will be used to develop gas distribution infrastructure, thereby providing direct and indirect employment to around 500 people.

The company is setting up a liquefied-to-compressed natural gas (LCNG) station in Kadapa to bridge the demand-supply gap for natural gas. This is expected to benefits consumer in the form of 30 per cent reduction in fuel bill against petrol price and 20 per cent savings in household cooking fuel when compared to liquified petroleum gas. The supply from the LCNG station is expected to begin in September 2022.
