The work on compressed biogas (CBG) plants at Ghogha, Goyla and Nangli Sakrwati is likely to be completed by December 2023.

Besides, Municipal Corporation Delhi (MCD) signed the memorandum of understanding (MoU) for the Ghogha CBG plant with South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) in January 2022.

Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) is executing three cow dung based CBG plants which will have the capacity to process 200 tonnes per day (tpd) cattle waste each to produce 8,000 kg per day compressed gas, 30 tpd city compost and 100 kilolitres per day (kpd) wet slurry. The plants are being set up under public private partnership model where the contractor will run the plant for 20 years.
