Adani Total Gas Limited (ATGL) is likely to invest Rs 160 billion over the next seven years to expand its compressed natural gas (CNG) station network and pipeline infrastructure, aiming to meet the rising demand for natural gas in the country.
In addition, the company is expanding its electric vehicle charging network and has also entered the liquefied natural gas (LNG) sector for transport and mining applications.
ATGL has been authorised to lay city gas distribution (CGD) infrastructure to supply piped natural gas (PNG) to industrial, commercial and domestic customers and CNG to the transport sector in 34 geographic areas (GA) solely and another 19 GAs have been allotted to Indian Oil Adani Gas Private Limited (IOAGPL), a joint venture (JV) company of Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) and ATGL, having 50 per cent stake each.
