In a notable development, AG&P Pratham has commissioned its first two compressed natural gas (CNG) stations in Alappuzha, Kerala. The two CNG stations are located at Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited’s St. Augustine Pump at Aroor and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited’s VAVA Fuels in Eramalloor. The two stations will facilitate availability of CNG to motor vehicles on the Ernakulum and Thiruvananthapuram highway.
AG&P has been awarded the 25-year exclusive rights by the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board to develop the city gas distribution infrastructure and supply gas in 31 districts in Rajasthan, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka, covering an area of 278,000 km2.
