Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) has sought views for the development of Kochi- Kanyakumari- Thoothukudi Natural Gas Pipeline Project.
The project involves laying approximately 425 km of natural gas pipeline from Kochi in Kerala to Thoothukudi (Tuticorin) in Tamil Nadu via Kottayam, Kottarakkara, Kattakkada, Kanyakumari and Sathankulam. The proposed pipeline will originate from Kochi-Kanjirakode-Bangalore/Mangalore gas pipeline/ Petronet LNG Limited’s (PLL) liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal at Kochi and will further connect to Indian Oil Corporation Limited’s (IOCL) Ennore-Tuticorin natural gas pipeline at Tuticorin.
