Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) and Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for deployment of smart domestic Piped Natural Gas (PNG) metres.
The partnership aims to accelerate adoption by bringing together CGD entities, technology providers, manufacturers, system integrators and other stakeholders.
PNGRB will provide information on standards, certification, regulations, conformity assessment and inspection, while facilitating stakeholder consultations. EESL will aggregate demand, coordinate with CGD entities and stakeholders, conduct market assessments and technical evaluations, and explore procurement, price discovery, and supply, installation, operation and maintenance models.
