Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) and Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) are planning to commission the Tirumala Biogas Plant in Andhra Pradesh by 2026.
The plant would have a capacity of processing 40 tonnes per day (tpd) of waste and produce about 1.75 to 2 million tonnes (mt) compressed gas daily. The estimated cost for the project is Rs 120 million
Currently, TTD has allocated an area of 2.2 acre near Kakulamanu Dibba near Gogarbham Dam for the project.
