In a notable development, Megha City Gas Distribution Private Limited has commissioned its first liquefied compressed natural gas (LCNG) plant at Titlagarh, Balngir in Rayagada geographic area (GA) of Odisha.
The facility will supply piped natural gas (PNG) to households and industries in Titlagarh and compressed natural gas (CNG) to automobiles in Kalahandi, Balangir, Nuapada and Rayagada districts.
Besides, it has commenced registration for domestic PNG connections in Titlagarh, Bhatipada, Turla, Satighat and Powmax Housing Colony in Balangir.
Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) has authorised Megha Gas to lay city gas distribution (CGD) infrastructure in 62 districts across 22 GAs in nine states of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Odisha, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh.
